Brachioplasty
Brachioplasty Helps Denver-Area Patients Tone Their Arms
Every person differs in where they deposit fat. In some, this area is isolated to the upper arms. Depending on whether you have excess tissue or excess skin and tissue, either liposuction alone or liposuction with removal of excess skin may be the right procedure for you. In others, weight loss may have left you with saggy upper arm skin (also referred to as “bat wings”), which can be removed and transformed through brachioplasty, or an arm lift, leaving your arms more toned and proportionate. Flourish Surgical Arts provides many types of body contouring procedures, including brachioplasty, for our Aurora and Denver-area patients in Colorado.

What to Expect During and After Brachioplasty
During a brachioplasty procedure, Dr. Nesiba will make minor incisions either along the inside of your arm or on the back of your arm, depending on how much excess skin needs to be removed. Once the incisions have been made, your underlying supportive tissue will be tightened and/or reshaped. After the procedure, a small tube may be placed temporarily under your skin to help drain any excess blood or fluid. You may experience minor swelling and bruising for a few days, as well as minor scarring where the incisions were made. You’ll be given post-procedure care instructions, which may include caring for and cleaning your wound and using topical or oral pain medications as needed. It’s imperative that you follow our post-care instructions to achieve optimal results.
